The price of beauty is high, but the dough you have to spend to capture that beauty and make it known on all respective social media platforms is obscene. Our perception of the perfect selfie has been dramatically changed with the takeover of the selfie stick, an extendable pole that creates a perfect angle unobtainable by the human arm, heightening cheekbones, capturing extended scenery and showing us body positions we never thought we’d see. But at around $35 apiece it’s hard to muster up the cash (or pride) to actually purchase your own stick. As always, the people of the internet are here to save us with some thrifty, DIY selfie stick ideas, made with everyday household items and a little duct tape, so you can get that perfect shot and save your money.
