A RAP ABOUT DATAMOSHING

Used handily by folks like David O’Reilly and Takeshi Murata, the technique of “datamoshing,” or “glitch art,” or simply intentionally making those artifacts you get on slow streaming video is said to have died after Chairlift and Kanye used it in music videos. But it’s still got some life in it. (Could it be due for a kind of nostalgic resurrection, as we get increasingly better video quality and streaming technology? Not holding my breath.) The Creators Project has a primer, as does Rhizome, but if you prefer a rap version, Yung Jake will show you how it’s done.
