PREMIERE: BOAN’s Dark and Minimalistic Cold Wave Track “Mentiras”

The first track released from BOAN‘s debut LP is “Mentiras,” which starts off like the tense opening moments of a horror chase, but eventually settles into a bouncy synth pop burner. It’s that minimalistic, yet vaguely pop-centric approach that fuels the Texas duo’s latest LP due on June 9 via the venerable Holodeck Records, home of beaucoup heatrocks by bands like SURVIVE, Marie Davidson, and more. BOAN is populated by humans José Cota (SSLEEPERHOLD) and Mariana Saldaña (ex – //TENSE//), so look for their back catalog if you’re unfamiliar (its good).
