BPM Festival today made the first lineup announcement for its debut Portugal edition, set to take place September 14–17 in the resort town of Praia da Rocha. The event will mark the first BPM event since the fatal shooting during a BPM Mexico afterparty in Playa Del Carmen on January 16, which led the town’s mayor to call for a ban on all future BPM events.
In February, BPM postponed its Brazil festival until further notice following the shooting. It was initially planned to take place from April 27–30 in Praia Brava, Itajai. There are currently no other upcoming events besides the Portugal edition listed on BPM’s website.
