It seems like six hands are better than one.
Driven by an affection for both hip-hop and house are three producers with Berlin frequencies pumping through their veins. Mat.Joe are Matze and Johannes—two best buddies who have left behind the days of MySpace music and mixtapes to refine their crisp house and hip-hop fusion. Thrown into the mix is Thabo Getsome, another European who dabbled as an event promoter before situating himself as a considerably high caliber producer. Having released music on labels like Clap Your Hands, Thabo’s tantalizing basslines and 90’s hip-hop homages will have feet tapping from morning commutes to evening dance floors.

The three have paired up to present a collaboration EP called Sweaty Ice on the Berlin label Katermukke. THUMP has an exclusive premiere of their track of the same title, “Sweaty Ice.” It’s exactly what it alludes to—a warm-up. The track has the ability to melt the frigid early stages of any social gathering and can help you unwind on your tensest day.
Loosen up to the track above, and grab the full EP due out tomorrow on Katermukke.
