Jeff Ulsamer

When Jeff Ulsamer was 17 he had a severe motorcycle accident and broke his leg in 16 different places. He later suffered a brutal skiing accident in Colorado, permanently damaging his other leg. But he managed to turn these bad experiences into positive opportunities and began to adopt Huskies to train as sled dogs.

Ulsamer now lives in rural Montana where he takes care of 122 dogs he’s rescued and trained for noncompetitive sled runs. He’s given them a job, a hot meal, and a loving home.
