We’re suckers for all things pixelated here at The Creators Project, so we were happy to come across this new in-browser pixel editor from Ben Brown and Katie Spence called MakePixelArt, which, as the name implies, lets you create your very own pixel art. The application lets you build your drawing pixel by pixel, creating a masterpiece that can rank alongside the great pixel artists of our time. Or maybe just pixelating your office desk.

It’s pretty straight forward to use, so make your drawing as complicated or as simple as you care to, then share it with the world. There’s also a shop where you can search for and use the creations of other would-be pixel artists along with a “Featured Pixel Paks” section that showcases themed collections from well-known pixel artists. If you want to try your hand at digital pointillism, do so here, but you’ll need to use Chrome or other suitably HTML5-enabled browsers.
And if you’re lamenting the fact that you can only use it on a PC, they’re already a step ahead of you. The iPad version is on its way, check a preview of it in the vid below:
