Facts first: the first modern metal band to dress in hoods and pope outfit wasn’t Ghost, it was Australian death metal band Portal. Costumes aside, only one of the two ooze darkness out of every pore (Portal), including the new video “Curtain” which is viewable above. The Zev Deans-directed video, which arrives just in time for Halloween, comes from their similarly scary-as-fuck LP Vexovoid, seven tracks of terror and nihilism performed with shapeshifting death metal riffs and endless blasts. This is some dark, nightmarish shit.
