Premiere: Ryshon Jones “Current”

A year or so ago, Philly’s Ryshon Jones was performing at a SXSW showcase when he overheard someone in the audience say “You need to play some turn up because my people are bored.” He took the frustration of the audience wanting to hear the bass, and not his lyrics, and channeled it all into his wild new song, “Current.”

The typically interospective artist whose influences include everyone from Pink Floyd to Kanye West and whose work has drawn some comparisons to a young Joe Budden, worked with producer Hi$TO for “Current” which is off of his forthcoming project, Track Fifteen.
