THE GREAT DICTATORS: “WINE” EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE

Melancholic folk rockers The Great Dictators have recorded a trilogy of EP’s since the birth of the band in July 2011.

Today on Noisey we’re premiering the video for “Wine”, a track featured on the 7-piece band’s debut album Liars, which is out February 24.

The video contains old cartoons and vintage clips from Christian black/white films combined with shots of the lead singer Dragut Lugalzagosi.

Whether or not they’re Christian is hard too say, but what we can tell is that they sound pretty similar to The National.

The song starts out with Dragut’s deep vocal delivery and a 3-toned bass line evolving into a grandiose stadium inferno with choir, piano and delay guitars.

If you can’t wait to February 24 to hear the rest of the album, then head to the CPH Sound Wave showcase and watch The Great Dictators perform live.
