The Scenes of Capitol Hill Block Party

This past weekend, Seattle’s annual Capitol Hill Block Party had their biggest year yet. The festival, which humbly started in a skate shop back 1993, took over six blocks and brought together Spoon, Chromeo, Dum Dum Girls, Matt & Kim, ODESZA, Angel Olsen, Small Black, Tanlines, and a lot more. A bucket hat-clad A$AP Rocky solicited fans’ bras, Ferg showed up in a camo vest, Childbirth performed in hospital gowns, and people lost their shit to DJ Pat Nasty and DJ Henski, who closed out the three-day fest. Photographer Chona Kasinger was on the scene, capturing everything from the festival’s performers to its weed smokers.
