In the ’70s, the future was sexy! This lighthearted space disco cut somehow skirted intergalactic copyright law while riding the Star Wars wave into outer space. Brace for the most awkward robot dance you’ve seen since Timmy first tried Schnapps at the prom party, served up with fists full of glitter and fog. Goofy lines mix movie references with innuendo—”What I need is Close Encounter 3“—while the Hot Gossip troupe prance around and writhe up on each other in skintight glittery catsuits and body harnesses. I guess it’s a good thing this innocent view of interstellar travel didn’t stick; I’m not sure I could live in a world with nothing but air ducts as furniture.
