Trust Image makes warehouse jungle for bedrooms. And you can only fit so many people in your bedroom. “If you managed to stitch together all the white boys in brooklyn making analog warehouse techno with the jamaican patois in the air, you might be close, but nah there’s no scene,” says Trust Image of the niche-stitching nature of the musical corner he’s carved out for himself.
His Trust Image EP is the first release on his nascent Midnight Club cassette imprint, and it’s 5 tracks of jungle-beats interlaid with techno synths, vocal samples from all over the place, and warehousey aesthetics. The track “Control” above is a prime example of these sounds coming together – It’s A perfect fit for your Peugeot hatchback’s tape deck.
