We asked some of our favorite artists to visually define some ideas and genres that had a big presence in 2015. Dave Valeza is a comic book artist and illustrator who has drawn award-winning comics and made headlines in November when Drake posted his work to Instagram without crediting him. He captures the wonder artists worldwide have experienced with the rejuvination of the space industry of the past few years. From finding water on Mars to landing reusable rockets (plural!), 2015 has been a great year for space, and artists are loving it.
Humans have long been trying to understand space; artists attempt this in their works by striving to capture, replicate, and imagine what space is like! There is a giant cosmos beyond our Earth, and art can become our window to see it.
