Atlanta hip-hop is so great because there’s room for every sound under the sun, from the hardest of trap to something gentler and more psychedelic, often cross-pollinating at every twist and turn. Take DJ Burn One, who though he made his name by helping Gucci Mane put together his classic Chicken Talk mixtape, works with literally everybody who’s anybody in Atlanta, and is always on the lookout for fresh talent. His band iNDEEDFACE, made up of Go! Ricky Go! and Walt-Live, plumbs the depths of psychedelia while retaining ATL’s characteristic thump. Above is their video for “Javelin,” which we premiered last month.
The track is from their album Who Killed the Last Dragon?, which you can cop on iTunes here.
