DeRay Mckesson Tells Desus and Mero About Exchanging Texts with Sean Spicer

The activist dropped by the VICELAND show to talk about the outgoing White House Press Secretary and the daily injustices that don't make the headlines.

Activist DeRay Mckesson stopped by VICELAND's Desus & Mero on Tuesday and admitted for the first time publicly that he and Sean Spicer used to text. DeRay told the hosts that the exchange occurred back before the election in an effort to plan a bipartisan town hall to address issues on race. Unfortunately the event fell through, and DeRay hasn't talked to the Spiceman since.

Now that Spicer is no longer in the White House, maybe he'll have some time to rekindle their text chain and figure out another way to ignite a dialogue—maybe on DeRay's podcast?

The noted activist also touched on his controversy with Whoopi Goldberg and promised to hook the hosts up with their very own RompHims.

You can watch Tuesday night's Desus & Mero for free online now, and be sure to catch new episodes weeknights at 11 PM on VICELAND.
