If you’re going to sample one of the most recognisable vocals from a 90s dance hit and then pitch it down, you better do it well. In fact you have to do it well, otherwise everyone will think you’re a twat.  Fortunately, the Brighton-based Ambassadeurs manages to pull it off with aplomb.  Fitting it snugly between a growling bassline and soaring melodic flourishes, there’s something undeniably retro about the whole song. Think speedboats, Miami and white linen suits.
