Since we started our site in March, Noisey has kept up a steady clip of new music from all over the world. This month, with the help of Dell & Intel, we’re hosting our very first Special Engagement, in on August 20 in Austin, TX.

Special Engagements is a completely new kind of live music series that brings the best bands on the planet to unique venues all over the world. We’re kicking off the series at the Lustre Pearl, a unique bar set in a historic house on Rainey Street in downtown Austin.

And the entertainment? It’s none other than Brooklyn rapper and producer Theophilus London. Fresh from the release of his latest LP Timez Are Weird These Days, London will throw out a set of high-impact hip-hop culled from a billion influences from New Wave to Punk. We even convinced Telli from Ninjasonik to host the evening.

We’ll be live streaming the event, and letting the fans control the show. Over the next week we’ll be rolling out way for the audience to impact the event—we’re giving you a chance to control the action, deciding on everything from what remix Theophilus will debut to what shirt he wears onstage. You even have the chance to have Theophilus give you a live onstage shout out during the show.
