ATM fees in the U.S. hit record high

A new report by Bankrate.com found that the average cost of using an out-of-network ATM has climbed to $4.57 — the highest it’s been in 10 years. But as paper money becomes more inconvenient and expensive to get, more Americans are looking toward a cashless future.
