Zombie Room AR [Android]
We all know that when augmented reality came out, everyone’s mind jumped ahead to the days when you’d be able to throw on the AR goggles and lay waste to the undead hordes climbing through your living room windows. That’s still a little ways off, but until then, you can enjoy this slower-paced puzzler of a game. Trapped in a room, you have to manoeuvre about to avoid getting bit, and rather than shooting the crap out of the zombies and putting holes in their soft skulls, you kill them by luring them onto traps, timing it just right so you don’t mess it up, then advancing to other levels.

DSLR Controller [Android]
Control a Canon EOS DSLR through your mobile phone just by plugging a USB cable in, streaming live footage on the camera at 15fps. You can then control a whole variety of functions on the camera like metering mode, aperture, exposure compensation and loads more. Due to popular demand, its available now in its beta form, and as updates are released it’ll get greater functionality ensuring it’ll only get better and better.

Defender of the Crown [iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad]
This was a Commodore Amiga strategy game set in the Dark Ages and its now been emulated on iOS for your retro delight. Back in the day, it was an astonishing feat of graphical power that wowed anybody who played it, but now… not so much. But the graphics aren’t the point, it’s all about enjoying the olde worlde knights, the jousting, the castle and catapults, along with rescuing the damsel in distress, and satisfying your nostalgic cravings.
