Vancouver native David Vertesi wants you to move your feet to the inaccurate expectation of eternity on new track “Forever Young.” The first single off his sophomore album Sad Dad Cruise Ship, Vertesi and his band create a song that feels light on its feet as the techno rhythms are paired with harmonious tales of immortality. Sad Dad Cruise Ship comes out April 22.
“This song is about waking up from the false sense of forever,” explains David Vertesi. “Partly inspired by getting older, partly by this moment in history. The world seems to only now be cluing in that a golden age can only last so long. Whether with individuals, society, or our environment, it feels like there’s a newfound awareness that forever may not have been as long as we thought.” Listen to the track below.
