There’s enough gossip going around the world of electronic music that it probably deserves its own TMZ, Gawker, and Perez Hilton. We keep track of the drama, the beef, the LOLs, the dramatic build-ups, and the tragic drops so you don’t have to. Now, let’s see who killed it this week.
JUST JAM VS THE MAN
Last weekend in London, the party crew and DIY TV/Radio hosts at Just Jam was prepared to play their biggest show ever. They were due to take over the Barbican with a wide range of acts including Omar Souleyman, Loefah, RP Boo, JME, Sophie and many more. For some reason this was cancelled last minute for “public safety” reasons. In the US of A, we would refer to that “sus.” Seems like someone was a little scared of having a bit of “urban music.”

BAD MDMA, AGAIN
Three more people have been hospitalized this week after taking what they thought was MDMA at a warehouse party in East London. This has become quite a thing lately; last month there was a police warning about Pink Superman Pills in Scotland and some spots have done as much as set up places where you can test your drugs. Be safe, guys.

BAD MDMA SHIRTS
Do Androids Dance put together a lol-worthy collection of T-shirts that are just as bad as the spoiled pills in Europe. Anyone that would want to walk around wearing one of these is already a dickhead, but we just want to remind you that there are dickheads everywhere—so many of them, in fact, that companies market t-shirts to them.

Redlight Clan
A few weeks ago UK producer Redlight tweeted that he was in NYC even though he had no show there. That had us scratching our heads and thinking “Who could he possibly be working with?” Well, now the news is out: he and Raekwon have joined forces with a track called “Get Money,” which will be released via Lobsterboy/Polydor.
HARD ROCK HOT-HELL
If you plan to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel in the next few weeks, hopefully you aren’t planning to get much rest, because it sounds like the last place anyone would want to relax. This week, Hard Rock announced that they will be giving guests a chance to DJ on the Traktor S2 DJ Controller as part of their Sound of Your Stay program. Is there 24 hour room service?
EVERY NERD IS SO MAD
Aphex Twin is working with Die Antwoord on their new album. We’re just gonna let that one sink in.
