Obviously, it’s Brit singer Lulu James smooth as hell, butter-soft voice that’s the standout star of this track “Be Safe”. But thanks to producers Hostage and Kidnap Kid, adding lots of twinkling garage beats and the occasional tease of the beginnings of a drum n bass break, it makes what could have just been a nice but dry R&B tune into something a lot more special. No surprise it’s being release on Black Butter then, who seem to be shitting on the competition for all things British and bass-y right now.
