Remember when Metronomy played in dingy student bars with atmospheric garden lights sellotaped to them? Well, they still do the garden lights thing, but now they’re playing celebrated Parisian art galleries, happenings inside volcanos and exclusive boutique festivals in Balearic infinity pools.
Anyway, the synth-pop have just released this satisfyingly kitsch cover of “Hypnose”, an instrumental by French synth-god Jean Michel Jarre. What have they done to it? Well, they’ve basically laid on even more synths; these guys don’t fuck around.
