Influences from Floating Points, Dan Snaith, and Mount Kimbie are apparent in CRi’s indelible use of melody and manipulation of vocals. Traditional song writing structures are filled with the dance music signifiers, possessing an accessibility that a lot of dance music lacks.

Outside of the studio, Montreal has been blessed with an abundance of his live dates-most recently, Igloofest, and Apartment 200. The mix is dynamic in energy, and a precise look into how CRi shapes his sets. Heed the patience! Ambient pauses provide breathing room, surrounded by intricate poly-rhythms and bass grooves that sweep in effortlessly.
