For a lot of aspiring musicians, there’s that one song or band that triggers the desire to want to make and play music. Whether it’s a delicate arrangement of pianos, or haunting lyrics that burn into the mind, everyone has something they latch onto. Overkill’s new video for “Armorist” is going to make you want to throw out all the sensitive bullshit, pick up a guitar, and fucking shred. There are very few bands around that can match the intensity of Overkill’s live show, and this new video is a window into what you’re in for at one of their shows. With over 30 years under the band’s belt, Overkill has mastered the art of the thrash, and this new track slugs harder than ever. It’s hard not to stomp your feet along to the raucous drum kicks. I mean check out that bass guitar, it fucking rules.
