Bay area producers Friendzone’s lush orchestral blend of synths and choppy beats are continually providing some of the smoothest, yet strangest, sounds in hip-hop. After providing the beat for A$AP Rocky’s “Fashion Killa” and others, the duo’s profile has picked up significantly, working with other artists like Mykki Blanco and providing beats for Main Attrakionz’s upcoming 808’s and Dark Grapes III. Today, the band self-releases their album DX, which you can stream and purchase here (for a price of your choosing), and above, Noisey is happy to premeire their homemade video for “Poly,” a swirling bunch of vibrant colors and sounds that mash up nice and pretty on this hump day.
