Sure, the English Defense League doinks are really annoying, but us Swedes put bags just as douchey in power last year when we voted the xenophobic, far-right Sweden Democrats into parliament. Maybe it was their much talked about, hilariously ignorant election film showing a vivid, fictive interpretation of Swedish pensioners’ worst nightmare that got them 5.7 percent of the vote. As true representatives of the people’s fear and stupidity, the Sweden Democrats have since appeared all over the internet in YouTube clips looking like complete idiots. Take the supposed “attack” on Sweden Democrat David von Arnold Antoni wherein an unnamed assailant–who turned out to be Antoni himself–carved a swastika on his forehead, Inglorious Bastards style. Then there was Sweden Democrat deputy Margareta Sandstedt’s recent slip of the tongue, which is spreading over the internet like wildfire.

In the clip, Sandstedt accidentally converts €400 000 into 40 000 billion Swedish crowns during a question and answer session with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt. The miscalculation inspired a website where you can convert Euro to Swedish kronor according to the Sweden Democrats’ 2011 Index. According to Margareta’s conversion rate, a €10 hotdog costs about SEK 10,000,000, or $1,550,000. Margareta accepted her new YouTube fame with grace saying, “These are the things you can count on will happen.”
