Always at home in the outer reaches of the contemporary soundscape, forthcoming Creator Matthew Herbert’s latest project is as exciting and daring as anything he’s done. It’s a trilogy of concept albums that started with the release of One One, which saw Matthew take on the solitary task of writing, recording, performing, and producing an album all by himself. Among the manifold delights on offer are Matthew singing for the first time, along with echoing guitars, swirling harmonies, and plenty of musical experimentation. The piece proves again what most already know: the man’s expertise and adventures in the world of sound are without equal. Plus he can now add the string of vocalist to his sonic bow.
One Club, the second part of this musical hat trick, will take Matthew back to sampling parts other musicians cannot (or dare not) reach. To make things even more interesting, he brought his recording equipment into Frankfurt nightclub Robert Johnson to record the myriad sounds, noises, and possible bodily functions of clubbers at play.

The trilogy will conclude with One Pig, an album that has already courted controversy and which will record the life and swine-like times of a pig reared for food. You can follow the trials and tribulations of this endeavor on his blog.
