Afternoon Animation: Take A Sonic Vacation In Less Than 2 Minutes

As you count down the hours till your Thanksgiving turkey coma, take a quick mind trip via Gabriel Pulecio/ Lustix‘s Fractoid 2.1, an interactive, kinetic, projection mapped installation. The mastermind behind Madonna’s 2012 tour visuals, Pulecio has rigged the sculpture above to operate via Midi controller–with a finite amount of combinations before it morphs into an entirely new form altogether. 

Fractoid 2.1 is the second in a series of sound sculptures programmed to futuristic beat-machines, and audience operated–the first being the original Fractoid, which was custom created for the Lightning in a Bottle 2012 festival in LA. 

So before you start digging into that gravy, lean back in your chair and take a two minute digital sabbatical.
