Pole-vaulting, trampoline, race-walking—there are a lot of strange sports that have made it into the Olympics over the years, but a an animation by LA artist Thunderpuss, a.k.a. Amber McCall, points out the lack of feline-based sports during the Games in Rio de Janeiro this year. With the announcement earlier this month that skateboarding and surfing will be Olympic events at the 2020 Games in Tokyo, McCall’s dream of a cat-riding “Animalympics” could be just around the corner.
McCall’s sultry brand of illustration explores genuine thoughs about body image, creativity, and other tough emotions best solved with art. Check out more of her work below:
