You know those times when you just totally lose control, like if your computer’s taking too long to load a page, say, longer than a nanosecond, or you step out of bed and your bare foot plunges straight into some cat puke. A crimson mist fogs your brain, you know you shouldn’t be angry, but dammit, you are. If your head could morph into a spiky tornado of contorted digital rage with a distended tongue then it would. Well that’s a bit like what this digital video Nonmanifold_Mandible does, created by artist Ben F. Carney who says:
Nonmanifold_mandible investigates loss of control over human emotions. To parallel unreasonable human behaviors, control over a digital character’s facial expression is given to four channels of emotive audio, allowing for violent reactions and a loss of identity.
