EAT SKULL’S C90 MIXTAPE

Portland-based band Eat Skull are the creation of ex-Hospitals dudes Rob Enborn and Rod Meyers. They have released brilliant records on brilliant labels like Siltbreeze and Woodsist, and most of the music they make hisses and spits at Pro Tools users.

When we asked them to make us a mixtape, they didn’t just pull a bunch of files onto a playlist, they recorded an actual mixTAPE on CASSETTE, in two 45 minute sides, recorded in real time and with real care. So appreciate the effort here–the artwork above and the music below–before you stick it all on your flashy mp3 player, you technological pricks.

Eat Skull are playing at the Vice Magazine UK launch party at the Old Blue Last on November 18th. If you’re around, please go and give them money, because they have no clothes, no phones, and nowhere to stay. In fact, the only thing they do have is a voracious appetite for drugs and alcohol.
