J.J. Watt played tight end in college and he lined up there again today against the Browns and hauled in a beautiful touchdown for any tight end, let alone a former tight end turned defensive end. The Texans ran a mid-range fade route and chose Watt as Ryan Mallett’s intended target, after splitting him out wide. Mallett threw it where only Watt could catch it, and catch it he did. The play was reviewed and confirmed, as you can clearly see his knee his down in bounds.
It’s Watt’s fourth touchdown overall, and second receiving. Unfortunately there was no celebratory Nae Nae after the catch.
