As for the man behind the moniker, this much is known: he spent time as a marine, he was once a “world champion drumline drummer,” at one point he lived in the icy wilds of Alaska. Oh, also he was raised in a fundementalist Christian household which means NO SECULAR MUSIC. We all know pop music leads to sin and sex and a great time. It’s amazing how many current artists—Kings of Leon, Tennis, The Drums, Katy Perry—were raised like this only to shake off the shackles of religion and throw down.

In the meantime, Avid Dancer wants to see you dance, OK? Why would you deny him? Maybe he’ll teach you some moves. Don’t be prissy—shake it.
