Not much is known about London duo Pale, other than…they are from London, and that they are a duo, and that despite these two facts they are not the latest incarnation of Chas & Dave. New track “Doing My Time” is a moody affair, calling to mind the disparate influences of OMD at their most existential, the cocaine ‘n’ trap snares regret of The Weeknd, a touch of teutonic Techno and even a bit of Ultravox (in a good way).

The track was produced by the other guy from Simian Mobile Disco and the sepia soaked video was directed by up-and-coming London video guy Joe Ridout. The perfect soundtrack for those winter nights out that you’re not sure you should really be going on, Pale have a lot more colour in their cheeks than the name suggests.
