Ryan Vail: “Become”

At the age of 16, Ryan Vail began footstepping his way into the craft of songwriting with the purchase of an analogue drum machine from a pawnshop. Probably because his parents didn’t appreciate a big box of electrical stuff in their house, they grounded him. Though, thankfully, not forever.

He’s since been sculpturing uniquely dark soundscapes, blending together vintage synthesizers, drum machines and an array of live instruments, concluding in a sound that sounds like the soundtrack of the Lion King, had it been created by a moody teen in a bedroom as opposed to Elton John. He’s just about ready to put out an EP, titled Fade, and we’ve got the exclusive premiere of his new track “Become”.
