Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak is no longer just a DJ and producer paradise. Rap’s wildest EDM-lover Waka Flocka Flame joined Aoki and Borgore on tour, and now ShayGray, another Israeli, has joined the mix to continue Dim Mak’s cross-genre pollination with an explosion of lively trap-hop. For his next big single release, “Watergun,” he teams up with LA-based producer, Optimist.
It’s a dominating, winding beat with slight Middle Eastern influences that ShayGray completes with stories of filling water guns with mixed alcoholic beverages. A pretty fun activity for your summer afternoon on the beach. So here’s your important reminder that amid bombs and war, some Israeli’s still enjoy getting wasted like college-aged Americans.
