Started by Aurora Halal and Zara Wladawsky in 2014, New York’s Sustain-Release has gained a reputation for being one of the most unique and carefully curated small electronic festivals in North America, with this year’s edition being no exception. The organizers announced the lineup for the upstate three-day event today, and it includes performances from house pioneer and transgender activist DJ Sprinkles, Cologne-based techno selector Lena Willikens, veteran Glasgow duo Optimo, Drexciya-affiliated DJ Stingray, Voiski, Container, and Discwoman’s Umfang.
More artists are still to be announced, including details on a daytime party with hot tubs. Sustain-Release takes place at Camp Lakoda Sept. 16-18, check out the poster below, and get tickets (including camping and cabin options) here before they sell out.
