1. Prefab Sprout – When love Breaks Down
I’m not usually big on lyrics, but I dig these. When I used to be sad this song was pretty powerful. Makes you feel really stupid for obsessing over stupid girls.

2. The Chiffons – He’s So Fine
Undeniably perfect. If you have a half of a brain in your head you have to get stupid to this.
3. Bruce Springsteen – Johnny 99
One day it’s going to be super hip to be obsessed with Bruce.
4. Ricky Nelson – Fools Rush In (Where Angels Fear to Treat)
The upbeat darkness is something I’ve been trying to capture with my music since day one.
5. Fleetwood Mac – The Ledge
This jam always seemed a bit frantic to actually be Fleetwood Mac, that’s why I love it so much.
6. Home Blitz – Don’t Talk to Me
The energy and originality of Home Blitz fucking blows my mind.
7. Dead Gaze – This Big World
Unreal. I wish I wrote this.
8. Alton Ellis – It’s a Shame
Perfectly laid back dancehall vibes. Makes me feel cool when I’m driving.
9. CFCF – Snake Charmer
One of those epic-builder dance tracks, the guitar work on this is super sexy-smooth, in a “lets fuck in a kind of weird way” sense.
10. Dirty Beaches – White Sand
Dirty Beaches is probably one of my favorite current musicians. His influences are obvious, yet his music sounds so original.
11. Frank Zappa – Wet T-Shirt Night
I don’t think my Dad wanted to have ’the talk’ with me, so he gave me Joes Garage when I was like ten. It pretty much warped my sense of humor and taught me that catholic girls give good blowjobs.
12. Queen – Stone Cold Crazy
I was obsessed with Queen in middle school for some reason. This song was in “Encino Man” with Pauly Shore, Brendan Frasier, and Sean Astin; a touchstone film in my formative years.
13. Genesis – No Reply At All
Probably one of the most underrated front men of all time. Seriously, get some youtube knowledge.
