Exclusive: Listen to a Brand New Track by Unkwon Called “Wolves”

You know who’s out at night howlin’ and screaming towards the moon? Club-goers in Copenhagen who dig Unkwon.

And so do wolves, which takes us to Unkwon’s latest track that we’re premiering exclusively from the EP, also called Wolves, which will be released on Tuesday.

Before making emotional, bedroom-rave electronica as Unkwon, Anders Dixen (as he is called in daytime) made music as Dixone and was a part of the duo Dokkedal/Dixen. But let’s not dwell in the past, because Unkwon sounds like the future. Okay, maybe not the future, future – this isn’t something that comes from Stephen Hawkings – but the future of all my Friday nights.

”Wolves” is how balancing soft 2007-something nostalgia house with unexpected melodies sounds like. Unkwon refers to his music as ”bedroom rave” and I won’t beg to differ. I was going to wait for Friday to chug a bottle of absinth down my throat, call the dirtiest boy in my contact list and get on with it while pushing the volume to the max. Thanks mate! Now I’ll have weekend all week instead (don’t worry, though, I’ll skip the absinth for at least a few days).

Unkwon’s EP Wolves, containing three great tracks – “Wolves” being one of them – is released on January 13th via Safer At Night.
