Remember Soulja Boy? Did you know his first record went platinum? He’s still around, probably doing all sorts of demeaning things to girls whilst recording his fourth (!!!) album. Despite the era of music being played through phones almost passing, some people are still pretty interested in him. I guess when you’ve created a dance that is seconded only by Gangnam style, you have some sort of cultural sticking power.

Purity Ring are obviously still taking note of Mr Tell ‘Em as they took to the studio recently to lay down an impressive take on his “Grammy” track. It hasn’t got anything on the excellent electronic melancholia of “Lofticries” but, thankfully, it serves as a welcome side dish whilst the Canadian duo are between albums.
