Montreal electronic music festival MUTEK has announced the final wave of artists for its 18th installment, which takes place August 22-27 at various venues across the city. Joining previously announced Canadian and international artists including Daphni, Aurora Halal, Robert Henke, and Marie Davidson, will be Lotic, Helm, Pelada, Beatrice Dillon, Ouri, Valeda, and more.
In addition, London-based online radio station NTS is presenting a two-night showcase featuring UK and local acts. The festival’s closing night includes two programs dedicated to “other hemispheres” with performances by Kara-Lis Coverdale, Murcof, Harvey Sutherland, and others.
On August 24, THUMP will present a showcase at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) featuring Mexican artists Mexican Jihad, Omaar, Lao, and Oly, and Montreal’s Cecilia/Babi Audi.
