Broadly: Why do you oppose Trump’s immigration restrictions?

Representative Ilhan Omar, Minnesota/Somalia: The ban is un-American and represents a dangerous pivot towards increased nationalism, fear-mongering, and spreading falsehoods about the danger immigrants and refugees pose to this country. We must resist. Elected officials need to be firm in their opposition. Voters need to be persistent with their concerns. Activists need to be vigilant as they organize, educate, and empower communities to oppose the ban.
