When the universe gives you blue skies and soft breezes, it’s easy to think it’s pretty cool with humanity—you’re on its level. Then you see something like Blue Dog Films‘ Dramatic Thunderstorm off the Sunshine Coast and realize that being on top of the food chain doesn’t really matter when the universe can do that. The storm looks like a volcano full of lightning exploded in the sky and is heading right towards you, accompanied by a dramatic film score.
It will come as no surprise that this harrowing footage comes from the dangerous natural phenomena capital of the world, Australia, specifically Maroochydore, Queensland. Next time you’re wondering if the powers that be are angry with us, look no further than this 46-second-long video.
